Uptown Plaza was drawn as a piece of street rather than a building set back behind a compound wall.
Two buildings share one frontage and one basement. Retail wraps the Lower and Upper Ground floors so the street stays active through the day and into the evening, while the homes are lifted clear of it across seven typical floors. Parking is pushed down to a single basement reached by wide ramps, which frees the entire ground plane for shopfronts, a paved promenade and a lit entrance portal. Vertical bronze fins break the length of the elevation, and deep balconies shade the homes through the Pune summer.
